Questions
Does this include state tax?
No. PayMath includes federal income tax, Social Security and Medicare. Nine states have no income tax on wages; in the others, expect roughly 2–6% less.
How do you convert a salary to an hourly rate?
Divide the yearly salary by the hours worked in a year. Full time is 40 hours × 52 weeks = 2,080 hours, so $60,000 ÷ 2,080 = $28.85 an hour.
What is the difference between biweekly and semi-monthly?
Biweekly is every two weeks — 26 paychecks a year. Semi-monthly is twice a month — 24 paychecks. A biweekly check is a bit smaller, but you get two extra.
